ID: a digital drawing of an anthropomorphic monkey, showing both the front and back side of the monkey. It has several red markings: two thin bands on each wrist, two rings on the front side of each lower leg, a ring on its forehead, a large ring on its back, and a cap on its tail tip. /end ID

The Sun God's Scorn is a marking that is automatically applied to any monkeys who have killed another monkey. It slowly fades in over the course of 24 hours after the kill. The Sun God began marking killers because he wanted them to be forever set apart from their community as traitors, to never get away with what they did - so the Scorn marking was designed to be very hard to hide. It is also applied to those who traumatized other monkeys so badly that their lives would never be the same again, or those who have significantly aided the Bloons. It is able to be completely hidden by fur dye, mostly behaving like any other marking, but still appears on monkeys with albinism (though with lighter coloring).

ID: a digital drawing of an anthropomorphic monkey, showing both the front and back side of the monkey. It has many black markings: two thick bands on each arm, two circles on the front side of each lower leg, a circle on its forehead, a large ring on its back, huge black bands covering almost its entire tail, a stripe on each cheek, and two stripes on each hip. Its entire body has been overlaid with the same shade of black, including skin. /end ID

This is the Sun God's Vengeance marking. It is next to impossible to hide due to its full-body coverage. Good luck finding enough fur dye, much less hiding or explaining the coloration to your paws, stomach, and face. After a monkey kills, or severely and irreparably traumatizes, five monkeys, their existing red bands and rings will darken and swell over the course of the next 24 hours, as well as a few extra stripes appearing and their entire body gaining a black overlay. Monkeys with albinism will receive the markings at the exact same opacity.

A kill will not be counted, and a Scorn marking will not appear/a Vengeance marking will not be closer to appearing if:

This process of marking killers with designated and complicated markings to try and point them out as killers, kind of backfired within the Legion. Some Legion members, especially those who are there to get away with evil and not to protect themselves from the Bloons, have deliberately tried to get marked, as it has become a status symbol in those parts of the Legion. Get Scorn marked and you're automatically cool, get Vengeance marked and you're automatically badass. Maybe the Sun God shouldn't have made Vengeance markings look so cool if he didn't want Legion members trying to get them on purpose. (I can guarantee you there wouldn't be as much murder if Vengeance markings would also write "LOSER" across your forehead in unremovable black print.)
